Experience earned across real deals.
Sterling is a new firm, but it is led by an adviser with a long transaction record. The experience below was built over a career across M&A advisory, private equity and corporate finance — the same judgement you will work with directly.
About this page. The transactions and experience shown here were led or worked on by Sterling’s founder, Aniruddha Roy, during his roles at prior firms — including Initium Corporate Finance, GS Verde, NDB Capital and Brummer & Partners. They are shared to illustrate the depth and breadth of experience now applied at Sterling. They are not presented as Sterling Corporate Finance mandates, and client details are withheld or generalised to preserve confidentiality.
Sale of RSL Group to IPCOM
A cross-border sale of a long-established UK & Ireland industrial distribution business to a European strategic acquirer — the kind of transaction Sterling is built to advise on.
RSL Group
Commercial & industrial refrigeration distribution, UK & Ireland
The transaction
RSL Group is a heritage UK & Ireland distributor of commercial and industrial refrigeration products, established in 1946 and operating from ten depots across both markets. It was acquired by IPCOM, one of Europe’s leading technical distribution groups, in a cross-border sale to a strategic acquirer that valued its technical expertise, engineering capability and long-standing customer relationships.
It is a textbook example of the lower-mid-market industrial M&A Sterling focuses on: a multi-site, owner-managed distribution business meeting an international consolidator.
Transaction experience gained by our founder during his time as Associate Director at Initium Corporate Finance. Representative of sector and process expertise; not a Sterling Corporate Finance mandate.
