Sale of RSL Group to IPCOM

A cross-border sale of a long-established UK & Ireland industrial distribution business to a European strategic acquirer — the kind of transaction Sterling is built to advise on.

RSL Group

Commercial & industrial refrigeration distribution, UK & Ireland

acquired by IPCOM — leading European technical distribution group

The transaction

RSL Group is a heritage UK & Ireland distributor of commercial and industrial refrigeration products, established in 1946 and operating from ten depots across both markets. It was acquired by IPCOM, one of Europe’s leading technical distribution groups, in a cross-border sale to a strategic acquirer that valued its technical expertise, engineering capability and long-standing customer relationships.

It is a textbook example of the lower-mid-market industrial M&A Sterling focuses on: a multi-site, owner-managed distribution business meeting an international consolidator.
